Commercial Finance

Commercial lending is assessed on the business, the asset and the cash flow — not a standard household template.

Commercial and business lending is assessed differently from a home loan. Lenders look at trading history, cash flow, the strength of the asset and the structure of the business.

What helps an application

  • Up-to-date financial statements and tax returns
  • A clear picture of cash flow, including seasonality
  • Detail on the asset being financed and its useful life
  • Aged receivables and payables where working capital is involved

Preparation makes the difference. Getting the documentation in order before an application is submitted usually shortens the process considerably.
